Book Launch: Can you forgive the Unforgivable?

The Ravine

by Robert Pascuzzi

Dig into Your Deepest Feelings about Forgiving What for Most Would be the unforgivable

With The Ravine, author Robert Pascuzzi has written a highly-compelling novel inspired by actual events that will bring you face to face with life’s most challenging question: Would you be able to forgive someone for committing truly unimaginable acts? On a quiet weekday morning in a suburb of Akron, Ohio, the town awakens to discover that Rachel Turner and her son, Evan, have been brutally murdered during the night. A short time later, Danny Turner is found in his car at the bottom of a ravine after taking his own life. Any explanation as to why a loving father and husband would suddenly commit such heinous crimes against his wife and son has gone to the grave with him. The Ravine delves deeply into unexplainable tragedy for which there was no rational explanation. Mitch and Carolyn slowly come to realize that the only explanation that makes sense is that there has to be a spiritual reason for what happened. If you read The Ravine with an open heart, you’ll experience a soul-searching adventure that will forever change the way you view every moment in your life. In 1946 Judy arrived in Great Britain and was awarded the Dicken Medal which is the highest bravery award for animals and went on to live another 4 years with fellow POW survivor and “best friend” Frank Williams in Britain and Africa.

In this incredible true story “Judy” the heroine of the book narrates her own version of her life.

Her amazing life started precariously as a young pup living rough on the streets of Shanghai where any food and comfort was in short supply. She had the great good fortune to be rescued from the streets by a young Chinese girl called Lee Ming and a few days later a chance meeting with some British sailors visiting her dog pound changed her life for ever.

Judy tells us of her early idyllic, carefree years as a dog mascot aboard the British Gun Boat HMS Gnat, life was good for Judy until Japanese aggression in China spilled out to full blown war in Asia and the Pacific. Judy’s many adventures include:

  • Nearly drowning after falling into the river from the deck the HMS Gnat
  • Being bombed and sunk while on board HMS Grasshopper
  • Surviving a 200 forced march through jungle trying to reach the last of the rescue boats in Padang, Indonesia
  • Surviving another sinking in boat that was torpedoed in the Malacca Strait
  • On top of all that she went on to survive 3 brutal years in various Japanese POW camps

True Story from the Old West

If you love TRUE STORIES about Real Characters from the Old West then you will love the memoir and how it was discovered.

Meet the Author: Jim Huebner

Howdy. My name is Jim Huebner. I’m a city slicker living in Ft. Lauderdale Florida. But I’m a cowboy at heart. And I’m crazy about the Old West as it really was. In particular, the gunfighters fascinate me. And maybe like me, you’ve read lots of material written ABOUT the real Old West. But, none of it gave you the feeling of actually being IN the real Old West. Well that changed for me when a bizarre series of events led me to stumble across this long forgotten, extremely rare, memoir by an Old West gunfighter and lawman that reveals the brutally honest details of what it was like to live – – and die – – in the real, raw, Wild West of the 1870’s.

Long Lost Memoir Found Hidden Away Near Of All Places . . . Disney World In Modern Day Florida !!! Here’s the story of how I dang near died while finding “Pistol Pete’s” forgotten memoir. CLICK HERE for the full story.

November Ever After – A Compelling True Story

A Compelling True Story with historical significance……

November Ever After:
A Memoir of Tragedy and Triumph
in the Wake of the 1970 Marshall
Football Plane Crash

The legacy of the Marshall players who perished transcends wins and losses. Their tragic deaths squashed the likelihood of a bloody race riot on campus. The evening of November 14, 1970 was damp and chilly with a steady drizzle and dense fog. Students at Marshall University had no idea that the night’s horrific events would change their lives forever. On this night, a plane crash wiped out most of the school’s football team.

Unless you were there, you could never fully comprehend the gravity of grief that engulfed Huntington, West Virginia, in the days following the worst aviation disaster in the history of American sports. I know. I was there. I’ll never forget. It could have been me on that plane. I played football at MU for two seasons. A year before the tragedy, I left the team for personal reasons. When the school began the daunting task of resurrecting its football program in the spring of ’71, it was a no-brainer decision for me to rejoin the team and become part of the rebuilding process.

Media projects devoted to the plane crash provide well-deserved notoriety. Still, there are glaring omissions. Now, for the first time, former Marshall defensive back Craig T. Greenlee tells the real story – the whole story – about Thundering Herd football from back in the day.
