Meet the Author: LaWanna Harrod

LaWannaHarrodFor LaWanna Harrod being in the presence of God is like breath. Multifaceted, her talents are many. She is a mother, minister, author, philanthropist, coveted mentor–providing help and wisdom for the lost. An issue, Evangelist Harrod herself is all too familiar.

For more than twenty years she had battled with the secrecy of childhood abuse and is now using her life as a term of reference that God is able. No longer bound, she has yielded to the instruction and direction of God and is the founder and Director of Christian Sistahs, a foundation that provides healing and restoration for those struggling issues of abuse. In particular, the mandate for Christian Sistah is to assist women, homeless, battered, teenage mothers and those living in shelters. With an emphasis of deliverance as its core, Christian Sistahs have discovered that through a unique type of fellowship, women can experience healing, the unction of the Spirit and restorative grace.

 

If that weren’t enough, Harrod is also an accomplished psalmist and Praise & Worship Leader who has recorded her first solo album appropriately titled, For Such a Time as This. Harrods most recent accomplishment is receiving an Honorary Doctorate of Divinity degree from Abundant Life Bible College and Theological Seminary of Port St. Lucia Florida. She is the Director / Founder of Harrod Enterprises.

 

She uses her gift of photography as well as publishing to push others into their destiny. She is the author of several books: Junk In MY Trunk; Fragmented Heart Healers; 21 Days with the Father; I Won’t Cry Past Tuesday, Lord, Move Me Into Betta and I Decree & Declare. Dr. LaWanna Harrod resides in Maryland with her beloved husband and two children.

Meet the Author –  Lynda D. Brown

Lynda D BrownAfter publishing her first non fiction title, Once I Was Lost, with a traditional publisher in 2006, author Lynda D. Brown decided to create her own independent publishing company and Spoken Word Press was born. In May 2010, Lynda published her first novel, Invisible Enemies, a supernatural thriller with a biblical message. While writing book one, her characters began to take on a life of their own, and Lynda decided to create a series based on the characters in the original book.

In August 2011, Seed of Satan: Leah’s Story, book two in the series was published.

In late October of 2010, Lynda created The Author Chat Show, an online podcast for self published authors to showcase their work. Currently the website has over one hundred and sixty members.

April 2012, Invisible Enemies and Seed of Satan were both on Amazon’s Best Sellers List for a couple of weeks.
