Yegor Andrianov is a poet cut off in mid-sentence. A voice about to soar and then stifled. His first book, “Hauntings of Welcome Addiction” is both provocative and frustrating. With rough edges, it still impels us to reach beyond the mundane for the transcendent. His gritty legacy is one of jaundiced compassion and force-fed hookers. Of grabbing grace by the throat and softly asphyxiating on cynicism. Beneath the tales of war and the streets of New York, addiction and ripped up love, an undeniable vulnerability shines through. He is finished before he begins and never begs pardon for leaving us hanging.

About the Author:
Yegor Andrianov was born on March 8, 1988 in Moscow, Russia. He was the youngest of three brothers. When he was seven years old, he moved to the US with his parents, where he grew up and went to school. Later, he studied at the University of Rochester and received a bachelor of Arts degree in Film & Media Studies and a minor in Clinical Psychology and Neuropsychology. As a part of his film studies, he acted in and made several films. One of his very first short films won the 2007 Gollin Film Festival prize, marking it one of his favorite moments of that period. He also went to the University of Canterbury in Christchurch, New Zealand as part of study abroad program to continue his B.A. in Film & Media Studies. In 2009 Yegor interned at 4th Row Films in New York City as a production assistant and contributed to stage preparation, research, cataloging, and editing short video and audio projects. He holds an IMDB credit as a key production assistant for the feature length documentary film Making the Boys (2011). In 2010 he joined the Marines. He served honorably for four years, with tours in Afghanistan and Japan. In 2015 he started working towards a second bachelor’s degree in forest management at Colorado State University because he loved being in the open and wished to ensure that the wildlife, parks, and reserves are maintained and preserved for the next generation. He had many interests, including the outdoors, fitness, film, music, culinary and other arts. He was fluent in English, Russian, and was proficient in French. In addition to everything above, he was a true thinker and a poet. He died on June 12, 2015.

This autopilot exploration unearths the unconscious secrets our spiritual self keeps from our conscious, critical self.

Four planes. Three thousand victims. Two towers. One morning. September 11th 2001: the day that changed America forever.

Imagine waking up and getting ready for yet another day of work. You put on your best outfit, grab a cup of coffee and swing by the local bakery for a last minute breakfast. When you finally arrive at work, you settle into your desk and prepare for the day ahead. Then, barely an hour into your shift, the unthinkable happens: your office goes up in flames.

This was reality for the people who died on that fateful Tuesday morning. Some were in the towers, others in the Pentagon and the rest thirty thousand feet in the sky and digging through the smoldering rubble below. America watched in horror as the world was engulfed in flames. Our country crumbled to the ground. But from the ashes rose a new nation, one united in grief, despair and a longing for justice.

“In the Blink of an Eye: September 11th Stories” immortalizes that day in vivid detail. The short story “And Then He Smiled,” tell the heart wrenching tale of a mother’s grief over losing her child with a supernatural twist and the poem “One Dark September Morning,” champions hope even in the darkest of times. Filled with moments of joy and despair, of faith and disbelief, of life and death, Brittany Tenpenny’s “In the Blink of an Eye: September 11th Stories,” is a literary anthology destined to touch the heart and inspire the soul.

For the first month of the book’s release (Sept 1-Sept 30), all proceeds will be donated to the National September 11th Memorial and Museum in New York City.

Israfel-Soundtrack---Cover---2014-05-07Soundtrack for the New Millennium: A lyrical concept album for the teenagers of this world. How can a man ever recreate the sensations of his youth? By returning to the lyrics he wrote for the punk rock bands he played in throughout high school, Israfel Sivad reawakens the sensations of rebellion latent in all of us. He weaves the words he wrote for four different bands together into one poetic tapestry that displays the politics and emotions of teenage vigor. Today, the phrasing itself must convey the violence and the passion of the dancing and stage dives that once upon a time accompanied these lines. Without music behind them, the words themselves stand alone, outside by themselves… The same as the young man who wrote them felt he did.

For Israfel Sivad sharing his vision of emotional experiences and intensity is all about awareness of our connectivity with this planet. “…my writing has followed my life so it’s in many ways showing the psychological progression of a person becoming aware on this planet…”

Author of:  Horror Novels, Historical Fiction, Poetry, and short stories.

After graduating from college in 1973, William worked in factories, taught high school English, and ran a successful house painting business. His real love, though, was writing, and he began freelancing in 1978.

He quickly learned that while only 10% of his general interest stories and poems got accepted by magazines, 80% of his horror writing found its way into print. Also, there was a particularly difficult California editor who inspired him. He kept rejecting story after story, always adding the tease, “This was very close to what I’m looking for.” Soon, Robertson had 20 stories written, that rejected by the California editor, were later published worldwide. One of these tales, “Wide Spot in the Road,” was translated into the Romanian language.

William’s work has now appeared in over 500 magazines, e-zines, and anthologies in the U.S., Canada, England, Scotland, William Robertson -Bucktailswilliam-robertson-SeasonIreland, Wales, Romania, Australia, New Zealand, and Malaysia.

His other writing credits include eleven poetry collections, three audio books, twelve e-books, six volumes of short stories, a Viking novel, two French and Indian War novels, and nine historical fiction novels about the famous Civil War sharpshooters–the Bucktails.

Genre: Poetry/love/sensual/family

Book Description: Poetry that is direct and beautifully expressed with no hint of pretension.

Poetry can be daunting and hard to understand, but it doesn’t have to be. I feel a poet has an obligation to write in a way that everyone can understand. Poems should flow softly through a poet’s words, their meanings gently caressing the heart and mind of its reader. If a poem comes from the heart, it will reach other hearts, and this is what I’ve tried to do with the poetry in “Anatomy of a Poet”. ~CJ Heck

About the Author:

CJ Heck is a writer, poet, blogger, and the author of five books. She has three daughters, eleven grandchildren, and lives with her partner, Robert Cosmar, also an author, in Florida. CJ is also a Vietnam War widow.
