Yegor Andrianov is a poet cut off in mid-sentence. A voice about to soar and then stifled. His first book, “Hauntings of Welcome Addiction” is both provocative and frustrating. With rough edges, it still impels us to reach beyond the mundane for the transcendent. His gritty legacy is one of jaundiced compassion and force-fed hookers. Of grabbing grace by the throat and softly asphyxiating on cynicism. Beneath the tales of war and the streets of New York, addiction and ripped up love, an undeniable vulnerability shines through. He is finished before he begins and never begs pardon for leaving us hanging.

About the Author:
Yegor Andrianov was born on March 8, 1988 in Moscow, Russia. He was the youngest of three brothers. When he was seven years old, he moved to the US with his parents, where he grew up and went to school. Later, he studied at the University of Rochester and received a bachelor of Arts degree in Film & Media Studies and a minor in Clinical Psychology and Neuropsychology. As a part of his film studies, he acted in and made several films. One of his very first short films won the 2007 Gollin Film Festival prize, marking it one of his favorite moments of that period. He also went to the University of Canterbury in Christchurch, New Zealand as part of study abroad program to continue his B.A. in Film & Media Studies. In 2009 Yegor interned at 4th Row Films in New York City as a production assistant and contributed to stage preparation, research, cataloging, and editing short video and audio projects. He holds an IMDB credit as a key production assistant for the feature length documentary film Making the Boys (2011). In 2010 he joined the Marines. He served honorably for four years, with tours in Afghanistan and Japan. In 2015 he started working towards a second bachelor’s degree in forest management at Colorado State University because he loved being in the open and wished to ensure that the wildlife, parks, and reserves are maintained and preserved for the next generation. He had many interests, including the outdoors, fitness, film, music, culinary and other arts. He was fluent in English, Russian, and was proficient in French. In addition to everything above, he was a true thinker and a poet. He died on June 12, 2015.

It’s the age-old tale:

Boy meets girl.
Boy stalks girl.
Girl already has a stalker.
Boy becomes her stalker-stalker.

We’ve seen it all before, many times, but this time it’s different. If only slightly.

Gomez is eternally bewildered by the ease with which others navigate the world. He’s never had much luck with women, or jobs, or anything really. Even gravity seems to pull on him a little harder than it does on others. But when he enters a medical trail and a super sexy research assistant falls for him, he thinks his luck has changed – even if that assistant has trouble expressing herself in terms outside the realm of science.

But when one of the trial participants turns up dead and another goes missing, Gomez begins to fear for his life. No longer sure whom he can trust and which of his experiences are actually real and which merely drug induced delusions, he decides to go underground and work out a devious plan.

“Extremely witty and clever writing that contains keen insights into human nature.” –California Chronicle

“Challenges the way we think about, and interact with, the world around us.” –Kirkus Discoveries

“The antics in this book will leave the reader laughing. Graham Parke is a genius.” –Readers Favorite

“A quick and unputdownable read that flies in the face of reason, and smashes against the wall of detective novels. It’s a Coens Brothers’ film formatted in book form.” –Book Review

“A very funny book; a veritable page turner of nonstop laughs. Buy a copy and find out for yourself!” –Reader Views

-“Chaos is rejecting all you have learned, chaos is being yourself.” –
Emile M. Cioran

Can the fluttering of a butterfly’s wing cause such a ripple in the world, it can change lives? Chaos theory says it can.

Even with the sexual revolution of the permissive seventies and eighties, men remained men. But as childhood friends Tom and Will enter adulthood, for one of them maturity isn’t just growing from boy to man. He develops into someone completely new as surely as the butterfly emerges transformed from its chrysalis, irrevocably and chaotically also transforming both their worlds in the process. Through battle ground bravado in Northern Ireland, drugs, sexual betrayal, IVF, transsexualism, and ‘forbidden’ love, they each search for courage to live life their way. Can love be strong enough to fly in the face of the chains of convention? The answer only becomes clear after events transpire to ultimately create a simple choice for them both; life or death, and they have to face the consequence of their choices

The Tailor’s Needle

by Lakshmi Raj Sharma
Cambridge educated Sir Saraswati Chandra Ranbakshi is a towering public figure in early twentieth century India. A firm believer in the ideals of Mahatma Gandhi, he also has faith in the virtues of the British Raj. As a result, he has to mediate between the Maharaja of a princely state and the Viceroy and strike a fine balance between tradition and modernity. This tussle between old and new values is reflected in his three children – the daredevil Maneka, the timid Sita, and their brother, Yogendra, who turns their father’s world upside down by falling in love with a lower-caste girl.

A comedy of manners laced with intrigue and excitement, The Tailor’s Needle explores some of the great moral dilemmas of pre-independent India with wit and sensitivity.

Blood Melt (Seth Cometh…) by Max W. Miller

All aliens visiting Earth are not little green things with exaggerated, oval shaped eyes. That’s what Avani Darrisaw found out when she gazed into the honey-brown irises of Seth, a prince from Amarka.

Sixteen year old Avani always knew there was more to the story about this secret war her father fought in—a war never broadcasted on the evening news. But when Counselor Vivian Brashear came from Savannah, Georgia, to her home in Winston Salem, her frustrations mounted even higher. The woman tells Avani that an alien Star Warrior has chosen her to help him come to earth, and that he must have talks with her. Avani tries to shrug-off the woman’s comments as the ranting of a lunatic, but still, her heart could not deny the gorgeous stranger now showing up in her dreams.

Pressured on every side, Avani feels she has no choice but to have these talks with Seth. Soon, their meetings throws the feisty teen into a tail spin for more reasons than one. Seth is trapped in a sphere and needs Avani to save him. She’d have to agree to undergo a ceremony, the Blood Melt, where Seth requires a deadly evacuation of her blood. As if the Blood Melt Ceremony wasn’t scary enough, if she consents to save him, a Walfarian Spiker, sworn enemy of the Amarkarues, would track and try to assassinate her. Find out whether Avani will risk her life to save Seth, and in return, how can Seth save her when he is imprisoned inside a disintegrating sphere?

You really want to read this book—fast pace, filled with intrigue, wit, and unexpected twists and turns.
