Shirley McLain is the author of the exciting mystery, The Tower and a new historical fiction novel, called Dobyns Chronicles.

Shirley embraced her passion for writing after retiring from 32 years of nursing. Her debut novel, The Tower, is an exciting mystery with an Oklahoma backdrop. Shirley takes her readers on a journey involving kidnapping, smuggling, betrayal, environmental issues, illegal dumping, psychic connections, terrorism, and murder…. around the world, from Tulsa Oklahoma to the Bhutan. It is a story of love and devotion, as well as retribution for crimes committed.

Shirley’s NEW book, Dobyns Chronicles, is a historical fiction novel inspired by the life of Shirley’s great grandfather, Charley Dobyn. Dobyns Chronicles brings to life the historical impact of the Yellow Fever outbreak that devastated the southern United States in the late 1800’s to early 1900’s.

Shirley is a wife, mother, and grandmother of six, living in Oklahoma where she is enjoying retirement to the fullest. When Shirley isn’t writing she enjoys travel, adventure, reading, old movies and needle crafts.

Author of the Athyxian Chronicles and Wrath

Kevin Davison

Kevin Davison is an inspiring author. He is also a childhood cancer survivor.  Kevin conquered epilepsy as well as cancer and now as an adult pursues his passion as a successful fiction writer.

Kevin is the author of an on-going fantasy/adventure series, “Athyxian Chronicles” as well as a stand-alone psychological thriller titled, “Wrath.”  There are currently three books in the Athyxian fantasy/adventure series: “Reign of Viscus,” “Minions of the Servant,” and “An Assassin’s Revenge.”

Kevin has been cancer free for over 25 years and has created a campaign called “Write for a Cause” whereby a portion of his proceeds from his book sales are donated to charity.

(4) Sharon Donovan – Author of 7 Books – Romantic
Suspense, Inspirationals, and Psychological Thrillers

Sharon Donovan

Sharon Donovan is the author of 7 books. Her work includes: Inspiration, Romantic Suspense and Psychological thrillers. Sharon also has written a narrative non-fiction book about the progression of blindness related to diabetes. This book is especially significant because Sharon’s writing career began 10 years ago after losing her vision to a long battle with diabetic retinopathy.

Prior to the loss of her vision, she was a legal secretary for the Court of Common Pleas where she prepared cases for judges in Domestic Relations. Painting was her passion. When she could no longer paint, she began attending creative writing classes and memoir workshops. After a long and winding road, a new dream emerged.

Today, instead of painting her pictures on canvas, Sharon paints her pictures with words. Sharon writes stories of inspiration and suspense. She is a published author with The Wild Rose Press, White Rose Publishing, Whimsical Publications and Chicken Soup for the Soul.

In April of 2012, Sharon passed away. I am grateful for having the opportunity to speak with her. She was a remarkable and inspiring woman that accomplished so much despite the challenges she faced. I am certain that all who knew her felt blessed to have had the opportunity.

(2) Deanna Jewel – Author of
Never Surrender and No Turning Back

Deanna Jewel lives in the Pacific Northwest and has been writing since 1991. She has completed one time travel and one historical novel and has several others in the works. A trip years ago to Dubois, Wyoming, south of Yellowstone, inspired her time-travel novel. The landscape and town locations described in NEVER SURRENDER are real. A professor at Boise State University, translated the Shoshone language that you’ll find in the book.

NEVER SURRENDER, Deanna’s Indian time travel romance, takes you back to Wyoming, 1835. It was released in 2008 in print, e-book and iBook for download to e-Readers and i-Pads. NEVER SURRENDER won an Honorable Mention in the 2008 Quill Awards at Writing.com.

Her second novel, the historical takes place in England, 1778, NO TURNING BACK was released in April 2010, and is also in print, eBook and iBook. DEANNA is Hard at work on the edits for her next novel, Whispers at Ghost Point, she hopes to have that available in mid 2012.

Deanna is married to a retired captain of the fire department. She and her husband have two Siamese cats: Zoie and Sinbad. Deanna has enjoyed reading historical romance novels for over thirty years, camping with her family, and traveling. Her writing goal is to draw the reader into the story (to become a silent character in the story) and to experience what the characters feel, to show both the hero’s and heroine’s points of view, and to take the reader away from their every day stress to a place not yet visited.
